Alexa is a skilled Registered Dietitian with extensive experience in genetics and metabolism. All of her training was completed at the University of Florida, including: Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, dietetic internship, and Master of Science in Nutrition.

She started her career as a metabolic dietitian. For eight years she worked in newborn screening and inborn errors of metabolism at the University of Florida. She also has experience with clinical trials for new medications specifically for phenylketonuria and OTC deficiency.

Alexa has extensive experience supporting individuals of all ages with their nutrition needs. She has a strong passion for infant nutrition, picky eating, adolescent wellbeing, and helping teens transition into adult nutrition care. Her areas of focus also include women’s health, pregnancy, weight management, and food sensitivities.

She is committed to ensuring every patient feels supported and heard at every visit. Her goal is to empower individuals to understand their bodies and build sustainable habits. Her approach is personalized, guilt-free, and evidence-based. She views food and wellness as a lifelong journey and is here to provide guidance at every step.

Outside of work Alexa enjoys exploring local coffee shops and farmers markets with her husband and new rescue dog, Story. Depending on the season she also enjoys yoga, Pilates, riding bikes along Big Creek Greenway, or kayaking the Chattahoochee.
